Sea Tour and Island Package  in Trang

Located 828 kilometres from Bangkok, Trang (known locally as Muang Thap Thiang) is a coastal province on the Indian Ocean which has a 199-kilometre coastline. It is renowned for being the first place in Thailand to grow rubber - now an important aspect of the regional economy. 46 beautiful islands are part of the province, each offering white-sand beaches and glorious coral reefs. Koh Ngai, Khao Chong Wildlife and Nature Education Centre, Hat Chao Mai National Park and Hat Chao Mai Beach are of particular interest to visitors.

Khao Lay Krop
(Oneday trip)

The cave itself looks like a high and steep cliff with layers of rocks. A canal from the Banthat Mountain Range divides it into 3 waterways upon reaching Khao Kop, with 2 going around the mountain and the other flowing through the cave under the mountain. Stalactites and stalagmites line the cave for about 4 kilometres.

Ton Te Waterfall
(Oneday trip)

Namtok Ton Te is 45 kilometres from the city. Originating in the Banthat Mountain Range, water from this large and beautiful waterfall drops down 320 metres to the rocks below. Assorted tropical flora covers the surrounding area. The waterfall is accessible by car throughout the entire year.

Adventure and Eco-tourism in Trang
Trang has a great deal to offer the adventurer or eco-tourist...

Thailand National Parks come as forested areas or ‘marine parks’ that feature islands and beaches. Trang’s Hat Chao Mai National Park is the latter – a vast marine-type national park that includes Hat Chao Mai beach and Hat Chang Lang beach. Very much worthy of a visit should you have the time.
Visit Trang’s National Parks…
Hat Chao Mai National Park

Hat Chao Mai National Park is vast national park (around 231,000 square kilometers) that includes Hat Chao Mai beach and Hat Chang Lang beach (where the park headquarters are situated). The west of the park features a range of limestone cliffs overlooking the sea. The cliffs provide entrance to Morakot Cave (known locally as ‘Tam Nam’ or Emerald Cave). The entrance is a hole in the cliffs and the cave can only be entered at low tide - when the tide is in, the entrance is completely submerged. Going into the hole, you travel through a pitch dark tunnel and come out in a lagoon. The visual effect of moving out of the darkness into the lagoon is quite breathtaking – the lagoon has genuine picture postcard appeal. White sand and clear blue water enclosed by cliffs; it’s difficult to imagine anywhere nicer. It is important to note that if the tide comes in while you are in the lagoon, that’s it! You are there until the next day! There is of course more to the park than Morakot Cave; there is a small fishing village in the east of the village, and a number of islands (including Koh Muk, Koh Kradan, Kao Jao Mai, Koh Waen, Koh Cheuak, Koh Pling and Koh Meng) are under the park’s control. A visit to Hat Chao Mai National Park might be a holiday in its own right, but if you are in Trang, you should certainly see something that it offers.

How to get there: The park is on Trang-Sikao highway 50 kilometres from Trang town. Songtaews leave from Trang but given the size of the park and the distances involved a visit here might be best approached on an organized tour.

Khao Chong Wildlife and Nature Education Centrem

Around 20 kilometres from the main Trang municipality, Khao Chong Wildlife and Nature Education Centre is one of the most attractive places to visit in southern Thailand. The centre is intended for nature and wildlife study and features a series of nature study trails for visitors to walk along. The trails take you through tropical rainforest, streams and a number of waterfalls including Namtok Ton Yai and Namtok Ton Pliu. Along the trails a series of signs provide information about the plant life and wildlife specific to each area. The centre also features a museum and exhibition on nature and natural resource conservation. A trip to the centre is often combined with a visit to nearby Khlong Lamchan Waterfowl Park. This is a good place to visit, and expect to be here for half a day at the very minimum.

How to get there: Khao Chong Wildlife and Nature Education Centre is 20 kilometres east of Trang on the Trang-Phatthalung highway. Songtaews are available from Trang city. If you need to let someone know where you are going, this should help:
